I am trying very hard to get my head in gear with my new diagnosis of Autism. It is something that I knew I had problems but never had a diagnosis of anything. So with the diagnosis things have been brought into perspective.

For instance, I knew I had a problem with things such as volume control. As a child, my mother’s favourite words to me was “inside voice”. This often denoted that I was speaking too loudly. I never could hear the difference in the tone of voice ever. It never dawned on me that this was a symptom of something. Through working with my support worker, however, I have found that is actually something linked to my autism.

I am trying very hard to wrap my head around everything.
